Ewan McGregor’s daughter Clara appears to blast her 'a*******' father in scathing Instagram comment

Ewan McGregor’s daughter appeared to brand her father an “a*******” in a scathing Instagram post.

Clara McGregor took aim at the Trainspotting actor, who left her mother Eve Mavrakis after 22 years of marriage for actress Elizabeth Winstead in 2017.

Clara posted a picture of her mother sunbathing on a beach which she captioned: “My mother, ladies & gentlemen – 50 is the new 30 apparently.”

A fan advised her to “keep her away from your boyfriends,” to which Clara replied: “Nah I keep her away from a****** men who leave my goddess of a mother (sic).”

The post comes months after she branded Winstead a “piece of trash” after commenting on an Instagram fan account for the actress.

She later admitted to regretting her comment, telling The Times it wasn’t her “finest moment”.

“There had been a lot building up to it and a lot to deal with, not to make excuses or anything, but, yeah, it wasn’t my finest moment,” she said. “I said how I felt and I didn’t want to apologise for it.

“It wasn’t the right way to go about things, but it’s a hard thing to wrap your head around when you feel you had this idea of what the family unit is and then to have that shift. It’s very weird.”

McGregor filed for a divorce from Mavrakis last January. The couple share four children.

The Fargo actor went public with his relationship with Winstead at the 2018 Golden Globes where he paid tribute to both her and Mavrakis in his Best Actor acceptance speech.

“I want to take a moment to say thank you to Eve,” he said. “Who always stood by me for 22 years. To my four children, Clara, Esther, Jamyan and Anouk, I love you.

“There would be no Ray without Mary Elizabeth Winstead. So thank you very much.”
