Yahoo News EXCLUSIVE: Former NBA Star Dwyane Wade Is Selling His Designer Wardrobe on The RealReal
Dwyane Wade is selling pieces from his designer wardrobe to benefit his new charitable project.
The former NBA star is teaming up with luxury resale platform The RealReal to sell pieces from his designer wardrobe to benefit his charity Translatable, which is Wade’s new initiative under the Wade Family Foundation that serves as a digital community safe space for trans youth.

“I have a long-standing relationship with The RealReal and my foundation,” Wade said. “Fashion is my passion and I love being able to share my bold looks with my fans. I’m looking forward to partnering with them again to raise funds to support Translatable, which is my foundation’s new digital platform for LGBTQIA+ youth and their families.”
Wade is donating 75 pieces of shirts, shorts, outerwear, knits and suits from luxury brands such as Gucci, Versace, Valentino, Fear of God, Prada, Zegna, Jacquemus and many others for the partnership. The RealReal has priced the items ranging from $175 to $2,400.
Wade wore some of these pieces for recent public appearances and major moments in his life, such as a white Harago floral-embroidered shirt for his Hall of Fame enshrinement weekend last year and gray Fear of God trousers when he was honored during the Time 100 Gala in 2022.
“All of these pieces are personal and have special meaning to me,” Wade said. “They reflect significant moments in my life including the photo shoot for the launch of my first company with my wife, as well as when I attended the Time 100 Gala and NBA Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony. They reflect moments where I pushed myself to do better and be better. Fashion is about taking risks and so is life. I hope fans enjoy these pieces as much as I have and it inspires them to take risks and live their best lives.”
Wade launched Translatable with his daughter, Zaya Wade, this May as a platform for LGBTQ+ youth to express themselves and as a resource hub for parents, families and allies.
