Zara Larsson EXCLUSIVE: Big Acts Who Stop Caring Should ‘Take A Break’

The Lush Life singer exclusively chatted to Yahoo! Celeb following her electric performance at V Festival - where Justin Bieber and Rihanna headlined - on the weekend and sent a clear message that she’s ready to take the place of megastars who lose their passion for peforming and refuse to put the effort in for their fans.

Zara - who won the Swedish version of Got Talent aged 10 - has been preparing for chart success for most of her life, and speaking about her growing career, she said: ‘I just wanna do what I do now but on a bigger scale. I was not on the biggest stage here, I wanna be on the biggest stage. I mean, there’s always more to do.

Zara added: ‘The key to that is to keep just being hungry, because a lot of these artists nowadays are so successful, and they don’t care anymore, they can have everything, so they can stop performing, they stop caring.

‘So maybe it’s time for them to take a break now. But I’m super hungry for all that.’

Her comments come after V Festival headliner Justin Bieber was blasted for reportedly miming on Saturday on the Virgin Media stage.

The Canadian pop star was paid an eye-watering sum to sing both nights at the music extravaganza but admitted during his set that he was “hungover” and the following night, crowds were filmed walking away from his set.

Furthermore, Rihanna was late on stage in both Staffordshire and Chelmsford.

Alternatively Zara, who collaborated with MNEK on Never Forget You and sang vocals on Tinie Tempah’s track Girl’s Like, says she is always thankful for fans’ support.

She continued: “Sometimes you have to sit down and remember to be thankful for everything around you, you know I’m super thankful for all of this, because last year I was not playing at big festivals like this, but I still want more.”

Meanwhile, asked who her Influences are, she said ‘Beyoncé.’

And what about fellow V Festival performer Rihanna?

She shrugged and said ‘yes’, before adding: ‘But mostly Beyoncé, when it comes to artist stuff, it’s Beyoncé only.’

We hear you, Zara!
