Father Of The Bride Stops Wedding So Stepfather Can Help Him Walk Daughter Down The Aisle

Walking your daughter down the aisle on her wedding day is often the proudest day in a dad’s life.

And no one understands this better than Todd Bachman, father of the bride at his daughter Brittany’s wedding, who made an amazingly generous gesture during the ceremony.

Todd brought the whole wedding to a halt to fetch Brittany’s stepfather so the two men could both accompany their daughter down the aisle.

These photos show Todd grabbing Brittany’s teary stepfather by the hand and pulling him into the ceremony. Another image depicts the two men in a warm embrace.

The images of the ceremony were taken by Ohio-based photographer Delia D Blackburn from DeliasPhotos.com. Her subsequent Facebook post of the pictures has more than 940,000 likes.

She wrote on her Facebook page: “Grab tissues… because you will need it as you look through these pictures.

“Todd Bachman, father of the bride, brought his daughter to the beginning of the aisle… he stopped the procession while people were confused at his actions and he walked up to his daughter’s stepfather.

“Todd reached out his hand and grabbed Brittany’s stepfather and pulled him down the aisle to walk their daughter down the aisle together. NOT A DRY EYE at the ceremony… including me!”

She added: “Families are what we make them… make it about your kids and not your ego.

“Congratulations Todd Bachman on showing your kids what true love really is…love for your children.”
