Feel Good star Mae Martin has teased an "insane" moment from season 2, which was ultimately left on the cutting room floor.

Nominated at tonight's (June 6) Virgin Media BAFTA Television Awards, the Canadian spoke to Digital Spy and other press about her returning Channel 4/Netflix comedy – specifically funny anecdotes from behind the scenes.

"There's one from season 1, which is my character in the gym trying to get big, trying to pump iron, and bumping into one of the other NA group members," they explained.

"When I'm in shorts, my legs are just two white sticks, like a chicken's legs, and it was visually funny seeing me trying to do a chin up.

"But in season 2, there was a scene. We had Lisa Kudrow learn the drums. She took drum lessons, and then we had a band, we played a U2 song.

"I played guitar and there was someone on keys, and poor Lisa had learned the drums for this and really taken it seriously and we did a whole song."

Martin, who won Richard Osman's House of Games earlier this year, further recalled: "When we watched it in the edit, we were like, 'This is insane. It would be so strange to put this in the show.' But it was great to film.

"It was right before a really emotional scene and it was like, 'How did this even get to this point where we filmed it?'"

Feel Good seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Netflix.
