A free family friendly Christian festival is taking place in Stewart Park, Middlesbrough, this weekend.

Festival Teesside has a packed programme of events for everyone to attend. Between 2pm – 6pm on Saturday and Sunday there will be a packed programme of activities for kids and families including inflatables, a climbing wall, BMX displays, a youth tent, sports and live music.

In the evening from 6pm onwards there will be a live music programme with award-winning artists on a main stage including Leah McFall, Elle Limebear and LZ7. Around 20,000 people are expected to attend over the weekend.

The festival website says: "This is a gift to the community from over 60 churches and organisations that have come together to make Festival Teesside a reality. No tickets are required and all the activities are free once you are in. The only thing that might cost you something on the day is if you choose to buy any food or refreshments from the food vendors at the festival. Feel free to pack a picnic instead."

All children aged 12 and under will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout each day.
