Filipe Luis looks set for PSG as Atletico Madrid team-mate Jan Oblak suggests transfer is close
Jan Oblak hinted on Monday night that Atletico Madrid team-mate Filipe Luis is close to a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Reports have emerged over the past couple of days that the Brazilian left-back is a target for PSG and Oblak appeared to all but confirm the transfer will happen as he spoke in a television interview after Atletico’s 1-1 draw at Valencia at Mestalla on Monday.
Asked about Filipe’s possible exit, the Slovenia goalkeeper told BeIN Sport: “It’s a little sad, but that’s the way it is. He has a good opportunity and we have to respect the decision of each player. Let’s see what happens.”
However, Atleti coach Diego Simeone was also interviewed by the same station and when asked if Filipe would be staying, he simply said: “I think so.”
