Fire crews today tackling blaze that ripped through a leisure centre

Fire crews were today (Fri) tackling a blaze that had ripped through a leisure centre overnight. Dramatic aerial photos show the aftermath of the inferno at the Clarendon Leisure Centre in Salford. The roof of one section of the building appears to be completely collapsed while the interior has been gutted. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue said crews were called at around 2.45am on Friday morning (May 10). Eight fire engines from across the region were on hand to tackle the blaze at its height.
