Fleur East in the clear from coronavirus after meeting Prince Charles
Fleur East has said she is in the clear after meeting Prince Charles, who has since been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
It was revealed on Wednesday that the royal had contracted the virus, but he is said to be “in good health”.
Speaking on The One Show hours later, East told how she met Prince Charles on March 11 at the Prince’s Trust Awards, which were attended by many celebrities including Ant McPartlin, Declan Donnelly and Kate Garraway.

The singer, 32, said: “I remember at the time it was awkward because I didn't know how to greet a royal full stop, let alone in these strange times!
"So he sort of came up and did a Namaste and I did a weird curtsy and a Namaste at the same time, and the whole thing was just awkward.”
“And as you saw, clips, he kept forgetting not to shake people’s hands. He was reaching out and people had to do this awkward kind of standoffish, like moment.
“It was really strange.”

The former X Factor star added that she is now in the clear.
“It was 14 days ago, so I’m clear, I’m clear, 14 days is the clear window,” she said.

Garraway spoke about the fact that she’d had contact with Prince Charles as she hosted Good Morning Britain.
The TV star told royal commentator Emily Andrew that although she and the royal did not shake hands they were “very close” when they met at the event.
But Andrew said she thought the star would be in the clear as Prince Charles’ doctor believes that he was not infected prior to March 13.
