All the flight, train and bus cancellations as Storm Eowyn causes travel chaos
There are weather warnings in place across the UK as Storm Éowyn is set to batter the UK. The windy conditions are causing travel chaos across the country with airlines cancelling flights, ferries not running and no London Northwestern trains running between Liverpool Lime Street and Crewe.
On Merseyside there is a double yellow and amber weather warning for high winds, with the Met Office warning there could be gusts of up to 70mph along the coast and up to 60mph inland. A rare red warning covers Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland and all of England is covered by a yellow or amber wind warning today (Friday).
The Met Office warned of road, rail, air and ferry services likely to be affected, with longer journey times and cancellations possible. This morning several flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport have been cancelled and other travel service have also faced severe disruption.
