Footballers' Wives actress Zöe Lucker isn't "entirely sure" a series reboot would work.

Recognised as Tanya, one of the main characters in the ITV drama, alongside Ben Price's Conrad and Laila Rouass's Amber, Lucker sat down for an exclusive chat with Digital Spy in celebration of its arrival on streaming service Britbox this week.

"What concerns me is people loved the series as it was," she told us. "If you make a new one and it's not as good, then it almost takes away from people's memories and their happy experiences of watching the first one. So I'm not entirely sure [about a reboot]."

Lucker went on to point out: "I know for a fact I would never do those sex scenes at this age, mainly because of my daughter and also because I'm a prude. I just couldn't. It wouldn't work for me to have to take my clothes off on national television now at all.

"I just used to zone out and forget it was going out on television. Just do the job. But the way everything was shot and edited, nothing for us [behind the scenes] was as explicit as it seemed."

Meanwhile, the star (who also has credits in EastEnders and Hollyoaks) also broached the subject of the show's cancellation back in 2006.

"I wasn't sure whether that was going to be the end or not. I don't think anybody did. For me, because of the way my character's storyline ended, I could then carry on in my imagination if need be. And I went on to do a different show for Shed Productions, so I wouldn't have been able to do it anyway.

"I think the general feeling was that of sadness, but also of being very grateful for the run that we'd been given," Lucker added.

On where Tanya might be in present times, she believes that her character "is probably working in a nightclub".
