Lainey Wilson, Luis Fonsi, Tanner Adell and The War and Treaty will take the stage ahead of the fireworks display.

The 2024 edition will feature a never-before-seen firework — a silver cascading burst with a center kaleidoscope alternating red and blue. Additional effects include cross rings, strobing comets, waterfalls, Saturn circles, crackling pistils and special ghost pyro that alternates colors featuring multiple hues, NBC says.

The broadcast also will highlight individuals across the nation who are championing sustainability, accessibility, visibility for underrepresented groups, artistic expression and more, according to NBC.

CNN’s The Fourth in America will be hosted by CNN anchor and Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash and CNN anchor Boris Sanchez from Washington, D.C. along with CNN anchor and correspondent Victor Blackwell and CNN anchor and Senior National Correspondent Sara Sidner from San Diego.

Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest (ESPN / ESPN 2 / ESPN 3)
10:45 AM ET

ESPN has exclusive live broadcast rights in the sports network’s 21st consecutive year televising the event from Coney Island, NY. Coverage of the women’s competition begins at 10:45 a.m. ET on ESPN3. The men’s competition airs at noon ET on ESPN2, with re-airs at 5 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Hosting the event will be the duo of E60 and Outside the Lines Host Jeremy Schaap and Major League Eating president Rich Shea. Tiffany Greene will handle on-site reporting.

A new men’s champion will be crowned for the first time since 2016 after longtime champ Joey Chestnut — a winner in 16 of the past 17 years — was ruled ineligible to defend his Mustard Belt title after signing an endorsement deal with a rival hot dog brand.

Since then, Chestnut has signed a deal with Netflix to compete in a live hot-dog-eating contest against rival Takeru Kobayashi. That won’t happen until Labor Day weekend, September 2.
