The Free World must have a new leader

Joe Biden’s debate performance on Thursday night has reignited concerns over his ability to lead effectively, raising serious questions about his fitness to continue as United States President and laying bare the appalling leadership America has endured for the past four years.

The event, touted as his opportunity to showcase competency and virtue compared to Trump, instead highlighted not only Biden’s personal struggles, but the catastrophes plaguing his failing presidency.

During the debate, Biden’s speech was punctuated by hesitations, incomplete thoughts, and moments of confusion. His inability to deliver clear and coherent sentences underscored the extent of his decline, presenting a devastating image for both domestic and international audiences. As the leader of the free world, his performance instills panic rather than reassurance.

The implications of Biden’s faltering leadership extend beyond mere optics. They expose vulnerabilities that adversaries are exploiting, thereby jeopardizing the security and stability of the West. Such visible frailty in a global arena has without question emboldened adversaries in Russia, China, North Korea and the Middle East.

Internally, Biden’s performance has understandably sparked panic within the Democratic Party. There is a palpable concern that his deficiencies are not just a passing issue but an insurmountable hurdle. Speculation swirls about the inevitability of his replacement, as some Democrats fear certain defeat under the compromised leadership they can no longer hide.

In stark contrast stands the more robust Donald Trump, who has laudable policy achievements that made America stronger and more prosperous. Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 fuelled economic growth and job creation. His judicial appointments, including three sound Supreme Court justices, reshaped the judiciary in a necessary direction, impacting decisions for generations.

Trump’s deregulation efforts aimed at reducing federal bureaucratic hurdles were aimed at boosting economic growth. His renegotiation of NAFTA into the USMCA trade deal and confrontations with China on trade policy reflect a bold stance that resonates with voters concerned about economic fairness and national competitiveness. His foreign policy realignment towards great power competition addressed strategic challenges posed by countries like China and Russia, enhancing the global position of the US.

Furthermore, Trump’s strict immigration policies, including travel bans and efforts to build a border wall, aimed to address concerns about national security and immigration control. These policies put the nation on a far better path than Biden’s emasculated America-in-flames.

Biden’s debate train wreck laid bare not only his own weakness, it harshly exposed Democrats’ profound leadership deficiencies. Moreover, it forces the Democratic Party to reassess its strategy heading into the 2024 election. Against Trump’s strengths and track record of policy accomplishments, Biden’s vulnerabilities become an even greater electoral liability, making an inevitable case for his defeat in 2024. The stakes are far higher than the fate of the Democratic party. This tragic drama has implications, not just for the future of American governance, but the stability and leadership of the entire free world. Biden must go urgently, for now the emperor truly has no clothes.

Nearly anyone would be better. In Trump there is an option that boasts sound policy achievements that deliver prosperity and restrain the West’s most fearsome enemies at a most precarious time.
