Frog wedding held to appease Indian rain god during heatwave

A steady rise in mercury levels and a delay in the onset of the monsoon prompted a group of people in Varanasi to arrange a wedding ceremony between two frogs on Tuesday.The ceremony is believed to appease Indra, the God of Rain.The southwest monsoon typically arrives in North India, including Varanasi, towards the end of June or in early July.Source: Press Trust of India
