Yahoo News Game of Thrones creators' new Netflix show gets sneak peek
Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and DB Weiss are teaming up with True Blood producer Alexander Woo for a brand-new mystery sci-fi series on Netflix.
The streaming giant announced the news and released a teaser trailer for 3 Body Problem at its TUDUM event in Brazil.
The gripping teaser showcases some intense scenes from the upcoming sci-fi, as a group of scientists delve into "the unknown".

Based on a book series by Cixin Liu, 3 Body Problem is set to tell a thrilling story across eight one-hour episodes.
According to the official synopsis, the show is set to follow how a young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time to a group of scientists in present day.
As the laws of nature unravel before their eyes, five former colleagues reunite to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history.
Fans of the book series won’t have to wait long before the on-screen retelling arrives on Netflix as the streamer confirmed 3 Body Problem is set to be released in January 2024.

Not only does the new show have some big names helming the production, but 3 Body Problem also boasts a stellar cast.
The show will see Benioff and Weiss reunite with three Game of Thrones actors: Liam Cunningham, Jonathan Pryce, and John Bradley.
Marvel star Benedict Wong is also set to star in the new sci-fi alongside Godzilla Vs Kong’s Eiza González, Babylon star Jovan Adepo, Inventing Anna actor Saamer Usmani, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’s Rosalind Chao, and Arrow star Sea Shimooka.
Jess Hong, Ben Schnetzer, Alex Sharp, Marlo Kelly, and Zine Tseng will also feature in the upcoming Netflix series.
3 Body Problem is set to launch on Netflix in January 2024.
