Gemma Atkinson has teased a 'big' new project she's been 'quietly working on' after shutting down rumours she was set to star in a hit rebooted show. The mum-of-two recently returned to her co-hosting job on Hits Radio following the end of her maternity leave.
Gemma was recently reunited with Mike Toolan and producer Matt on the drivetime slot which she hosts weekdays from 4pm, nine months after she left to welcomed her second child, a son named Thiago, with fiance Gorka Marquez into the world. But Gemma was busy before that, releasing her own children's book and filming for the second series of the family's own reality show.
But now the Bury-born star has revealed she's currently got one project she is keeping tight-lipped over but did tease that she'd soon need her fans' help.

Speaking directly to her followers in a video shared to her Instagram Story, Gemma, 39, said: "I've got a huge meeting today, a big meeting for something that I've been working quietly on for... Well, the process started before Christmas so it's been a long time and it's something that I'm very passionate about.
"I've had to get it right. I say get it right, it's still not there, but it will be and it's something that I'm going to need your help with in possibly a few weeks. It's for you guys and I want it to be right. It's exciting. It's been a bit stressful at times but that's business and it'll be worth it. I just hope you all like it. So watch this space because in a few weeks I'm going to be asking you some Q's. Exciting!"
She then followed up the video with a post featuring two quotes. One said across a picture of a lion: "Work hard in silence. Let your success be the noise," while another said: "BUILT, not bought. EARNED, not given. HUSTLES, not handed. RARE, not leverage" while Gemma commented: "My reminders."
It comes after Gemma took to social media to address a 'little rumour' after she was quizzed by fans when sharing a glimpse at her latest workout. The former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star looked as strong as ever as she shared videos of herself during her morning glutes and biceps workout.
But she couldn't escape some questions from her fans and followers with Gemma later sharing a screenshot of one of the private messages she had received. The message from one of her millions of followers read: "Please tell me you've been asked to do Celebrity Gladiators? My 6-year-old little girl thinks you'd smash it!!"
It comes after the gameshow was resurrected by the BBC in January, 32-years after its original ITV launch and 16-years after Sky One scrapped an earlier revival. Following its success, it was confirmed earlier this month that Gladiators was set for a return with a celebrity spin-off.
Gemma was quickly rumoured to be taking part due to her interest in fitness and previous mention of being a fan of Gladiators icon Diane Youdale, aka Jet. But the mum-of-two has now shut down the rumours. She said alongside the screengrab of the message from one of her followers: "I heard about this little rumour! It was news to me [crying laughing emoji]. Now chats have been had."
She continued: "I love the original show as a kid and I'm glad it's back for the next generation to watch, but I wouldn't but Gorks and Mia through the street of trying to watch me climb that wall [crying laughing emojis]. Happy to sit out and watch from home!"
Meanwhile, Gemma's fiance Gorka Marquez has revealed he will be back on the road next year in his very own show alongside Strictly co-star and dance partner Karen Hauer. With Gorka having previously teased there was news on the horizon, on Monday (April 22), the 33-year-old took to social media to reveal all. Posting a video to Instagram, Gorka and Karen could be seen looking fresh out of speakeasy as they confirmed their aptly titled Speakeasy tour.
Alongside the post, Gorka wrote: "And the wait it’s over! We’re excited to announce our Brand New Show. 'SPEAKEASY' touring the UK in 2025. We can wait to see you all there! @karenhauer @speakeasytheshow."
