Yahoo News Gemma Collins bins off Celebs go Dating Paris trip to binge-watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians
Last week, fans of Celebs Go Dating were left unimpressed by TOWIE’s Gemma Collins’ behaviour, but she’s since explained her actions.
After standing her date, Laurence, up at the train station for a romantic trip to Paris, he was humiliated when, after waiting for two hours, she failed to show. Many felt sorry for him as he was left red-faced and holding a bunch of flowers before the cameras went off him and he went home.
People were curious why the reality star was a no-show, and now they’ve had their answer.
After getting a grilling off the programme’s dating gurus, Collins, 37, began throwing about all sorts of excuses in front of the cameras. ‘I did get up and do my hair and put make up one,’ she started.
‘But I sat in traffic for 30 minutes and just thought, I wasn’t feeling Paris,’ she continued.
Without any real explanation as to why she stood up her date without even telling him or the show’s producers in advance, she revealed what actually happened: ‘I did a marathon of the Kardashians, had a cheeky bar of Galaxy, and got a spray tan,’ she fessed up.
But dating mentors Nadia and Eden weren’t about to let her off the hook that easily. They ended up bringing Laurence into the office to explain to his face why she let him down.
After then saying something about her phone battery dying, she brazenly asked if he’d be up for rearranging the date – to which he said yes.
Both Nadia and Eden were shocked when Collins admitted that she has been known to take advantage, by claiming ‘if you give me an inch I will take a mile.’
Fans of the show were not quite as forgiving as Laurence was, slamming her behaviour.

Viewers have previously voiced their disapproval over the attitude of other celebs appearing on the show, including ‘Muggy’ Mike Thalassitis’ way of treating women and the alleged names he has been romantically linked with.
