General Election 2024: All the candidates for Meriden and Solihull East

Candidates for the new constituency of Meriden and Solihull East have been confirmed as voters are set to go to the polls. Saqib Bhatti returns to defend the seat, previously known as Meriden, for the Conservative party, and is challenged by four other candidates.

You can see the full list of candidates below. The constituency begins on the western edge of Coventry, taking in Berkswell, Balsall Common, Meriden, Hampton–in-Arden, Knowle, Dorridge, Marston Green and Birmingham Airport, Catherine-de-Barnes and the eastern fringes of Solihull.

Under its previous boundaries the constituency was won by Mr Bhatti in the last General Election in 2019, and prior to that was held by Caroline Spelman, also for the Conservatives, since 1997.
