If you're one of the lucky ones heading to Worthy Farm for this year's Glastonbury Festival, you're probably already planning your journey and deciding what essentials to bring. A common worry among festival-goers is how to keep their mobile phones charged over the five-day event.

This year, over 200,000 people are expected to attend the iconic festival. It's estimated that music fans at Worthy Farm will use more than 215 terabytes of data.

Mobile network operator Vodafone has also created the official festival app for 2024, which keeps users up-to-date with the latest Glastonbury news. It also allows them to personalise their own line-ups, set reminders, and provides a live interactive map.

Where can you charge your mobile phone at Glastonbury?

Aside from bringing your own portable battery power-pack, Vodafone's Connect and Charge tent offers free phone charging - and WiFi - to help keep festivalgoers connected. Connect and Charge is located in the heart of the Glastonbury site, near The Other Stage, The Glade and The Pyramid Stage.

You can also rent a Vodafone battery pack to carry with you around the festival. You can pick one up on site at the Vodafone Connect and Charge, and swap it daily for a freshly charged one.

No matter your network, you'll be able to use free chargers at the festival. There will be charging stations compatible with all devices, including wireless, USB-C, lightning and Micro USB chargers.

The Connect and Charge Tent is marked on the Glastonbury Map which festival-goers can access anytime in the dedicated Glastonbury x Vodafone app. The official Glastonbury 2024 app, launched earlier this month, comes packed with a number of features, such as:

Spotify Integration: ‘Discover’ feature will recommend artists performing at the festival based on fans’ Spotify profiles. Upgrades to the ‘Line-up’ feature: Fans will be able to share their Line-up with friends, while the new improved Line-up will highlight when one or more favourited artists overlap. Users can also now pin their favourite stages to the top, saving them time scrolling down every time to find their favourite acts. All-new Map Pinning: Allows festival fans to set waypoints to meet their friends, find their tent, and remember where they parked their car. Introduction of trader information: The ability to filter the Map for food stalls, camping shops and official merchandise stands.
