A mixed forecast is expected for Glastonbury Festival, with rain and sunshine expected throughout the festival. The beloved festival will return in 2024 from June 26 to 30, with Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA set to headline and thrill revellers.

The gates to Glastonbury Festival 2024 will open at around 8am Wednesday, June 26, with more than 200,000 people expected to visit Worthy Farm. Festival go-ers will be relieved to hear that the days before Glastonbury Festival will be largely dry and warm, with a chance of rain on Sunday (June 23).

In an early forecast by Met Office, they predict a largely sunny and warm day, with highs of 23 degrees when the gates open on Wednesday. There is however rain forecast between 1pm and 4pm but the evening will be warm and sunny with temperatures of 22 degrees.

The weather forecast for the rest of the week remains unclear and unpredictable. Some early suggestions from weather forecasters suggest there will be cooler but dry conditions.

An early long-range forecast from BBC Weather predicts there will be a mixture of sunshine and rain from Thursday (June 27) until Saturday evening (June 29). During this period, there will be high temperatures of 20 degrees and lows of 13 degrees.

The final day on Sunday (June 30) appears to be dry with "light cloud and a gentle breeze". There are suggestions there will be highs of 21 degrees and lows of 11 degrees.

Revellers heading home on Monday (July 1) are likely to expect sunny weather with cool winds. Ideal weather conditions while queuing for the shuttle bus home.

Throughout the festival, there will be a mix of low and high UV levels and weather experts are advising revellers to wear suncream, wear hats, seek shade and drink plenty of water.
