Yahoo News Glitzy pink canal boat serving up free ice cream in Greater Manchester this week - alongside a treasure hunt
A pink houseboat will be taking over Salford Quays for three days this week - beginning today - to serve up some free mochi ice cream.
Mochi favourites Little Moons will be mooring up in MediaCity from today until Thursday (June 18-20) to get people into the summer spirit. The pop-up will see people enjoy fun and immersive elements, as well as free treats as well as a chance for people to snap some Instagram-worthy selfies.
The pink boat pop-up, which will run from 11am to 7pm on the three days, will also be giving people a chance to win some goodies - like Little Moons merch including caps, tote bags and blankets, as well as the chance to win other prizes as part of a special treasure hunt.
There will be a series of boat keys hidden nearby to the pop-up, and anyone who finds them can win some bigger prizes to be revealed. Fans who find a sticker at the bottom of their mochi tub will automatically win a prize too.
As part of a summer tour, the boat has already appeared at London's Hackney Wick where people were able to try out the likes of the passionfruit and mango, iced latte coffee, honey roasted pistachio and pineapple and mandarin flavours of mochi ice cream.
Posting on social media, Little Moons wrote: “Manchester, you’re up next! Our beautiful Little House Boat is floating into Media City from 18th - 20th June to spread summer joy and give you the chance to try some of our Little Moons flavour faves!
“We’ll be handing out delicious mochi and giving you the chance for photos and giveaways galore - with some pretty amazing prizes!”
Following the visit to Manchester, the house boat will be heading on down to Brindley Place in Birmingham towards the end of the month.
