Some viewers thought Joe Kyle's remark was offensive
Gogglebox has been slapped with 88 complaints after what some viewers said was a “vile” comment about the Coronation.
The instalment of the Channel 4 show that aired on 12 May saw Scottish cast members Joe Kyle and Roisin Kelly tuning in to watch the historic event.
At one point Kyle turned to Kelly and said that he had been working on his “allegiance”, and asked if she wanted to hear it.

Broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has now confirmed it received 88 complaints about the episode.
And a spokesperson told Yahoo that the majority of those related to Kyle’s comments about the Coronation.
Many viewers were horrified by the remark and flocked to Twitter to express their outrage.
“Shame on the Glaswegian couple,” tweeted one person.
“Let us Glaswegians down with that vile remark.”
Another said that Kyle had been “disrespectful”.
One viewer commented: “Watching Gogglebox and nearly broke the TV when Roisin and Joe came on!! Get them off!!”
“I love #gogglebox but really?” said somebody else.
“What a bunch of ignorant t**** they're being about the Coronation.”
Another fan said they thought the comments about King Charles’ Coronation were “quite one sided, personal and disrespectful”.
However, there were some viewers who said they found it amusing.
