With the whole country on lockdown, there's not much else to do but watch TV – or watch other people watch TV.

And the families and friends of Gogglebox provided us all with some light relief on Friday night (April 3) as they tuned into the week's best telly.

But fan-favourite Lee Riley ended up having an embarrassing moment when he ripped his jeans right up the middle.

Lee and best mate Jenny Newby were watching Joe Wicks' appearance on The Andrew Marr Show to promote his online PE classes, where the fitness instructor demonstrated some of his exercises.

But when Lee attempted to do a squat, he ended up ripping his jeans (though Jenny initially thought he had broken wind).

Viewers on Twitter loved the hilarious moment, which also served as a PSA warning us against wearing inappropriate workout gear.

Last week, viewers questioned why Lee and Jenny were filming together in Jenny's caravan despite the current self-isolation rules.

However, Lee took to Twitter to clear up the matter, explaining that he had moved in with Jenny so they could continue filming.

"Well what can we say it's Friday and it's still on #Gogglebox," he tweeted. "Jenny and me watching together as we are both on lockdown TOGETHER, friends with no benefits I may add! An hour of laughs, stay safe, stay well."

The show previously announced that, in order to keep filming during the outbreak, it had rigged cameras in the individual homes of the cast, which prevents them from having any contact with the crew members.

Gogglebox airs Friday nights on Channel 4 at 9pm.
