Gogglebox's Stephen Webb has found himself at the centre of a social media storm after posting a picture with an unidentified man, just days following the news of his split from husband Daniel Lustig. The TV personality, known for his decade-long stint on the popular Channel 4 show, shared a cheerful photo of himself and a pal enjoying drinks at a pub in Notting Hill.

The image quickly attracted negative attention, with some followers suggesting that Stephen was "moving on" too rapidly post-marriage. This comes in the wake of Stephen revealing he was excited to meet an 'amazing person' at the airport, someone he hadn't seen in 15 years, reports Birmingham Live.

Comments poured in, with one user bluntly asking: "Moved on already?" Another advised a more cautious approach: "Maybe best to keep a low profile for a while and be a bit more respectful?"

However, many fans leapt to Stephen's defence, highlighting that the public isn't privy to the details of his personal life or when his marriage actually ended. A supporter pointed out: "None of you know exactly how long ago their marriage broke up, none of you know him on a personal level, so stop acting like you do. It may be a friend, a partner or other, who cares it's none of our business."

Echoing this sentiment, another fan insisted people should give Stephen a break, stating: "Cut the guy some slack! ! ! He's allowed to go out and enjoy himself be it a date or a meet up with a friend. Mind your own beeswax."

Stephen and Daniel announced the end of their marriage last weekend, sharing their feelings through individual statements to The Sun. Stephen expressed: "It's with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce. There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we've unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways."

Daniel also shared his sentiments: "We've made the decision with a very heavy heart to confirm our marriage has come to an end. I'm sure we will forever be friends."

Following the announcement, the pair proved their commitment to maintaining a friendship by spending a day together in Brighton, where they were seen enjoying a ride on a tandem bike along the seafront.
