A new seaside fundraiser, 'Gold Geese Goslings', is being launched to support South East Essex families battling childhood cancer.

The event, organised by the charity, Gold Geese, invites young people aged up to 16, to cycle, scoot or walk along the Joscelyne's beach seafront, near the Chalkwell c2c station, on Sunday, July 21.

Each participant will receive a goody bag, t-shirt and medal.

There are two distances based on children's ages; under 11-year-olds will cover one mile, with older children covering two miles.

Katie Southgate, CEO, said: "This is our first seafront fundraiser and we hope to have lots of Goslings join us on the day, have fun and show their support for local children fighting cancer."

Gold Geese provides mental health therapy, respite trips, hospital transport assistance, food bill help and bereavement support.

Registration for the event is free, via goldgeese.org/join-our-gold-geese-goslings but the charity encourages as much fundraising as possible.

The charity is also asking for volunteers to help on the day, and for those interested to contact Kathryn at fundraising@goldgeese.org.
