'Good Morning Britain's' age-fluid guest shocks Piers Morgan with language

Good Morning Britain viewers were spitting out their cornflakes in a shock Monday morning wake-up call thanks to one guest’s choice of language.

Emile Ratelband, 69, appeared on ITV’s breakfast news show to talk about how he wanted to self-identify as being 20 years younger, but startled hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid with his foul-mouthed explanation.

Comparing his issue to people self-identifying their gender, he told Reid: “Imagine you’re a small girl, as beautiful as you are, and now you say, ‘I feel like a man, I want to have a d***’.”

An outraged Morgan shouted out “woah, woah, woah!” as he quickly explained to Ratelband that they could not use that kind of language pre-watershed.

Viewers didn’t miss the show’s slip-up, but most found it a funny start to the week.

However, Ratelband’s discussion about whether he could legally be in his 40s because he felt younger than his age split opinion.

The Dutch pensioner gained international headlines last week when he declared he wished to legally lower his age by twenty years and hoped that it would help him match with more women on the dating app Tinder.

He wishes to change his birthday from 11 March 1949 to 11 March 1969 – making him a 49-year-old man in the eyes of the law.

“When I’m 69, I am limited. If I’m 49, then I can buy a new house, drive a different car. I can take up more work.

“When I’m on Tinder and it say I’m 69, I don’t get an answer. When I’m 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position,” he told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

Ratelbrand has been accused of mocking transpeople with his actions.
