'Gordon Ramsay's Future Food Stars' has the most Gordon Ramsay hashtag imaginable

Foul-mouthed chef Gordon Ramsay launched his new TV contest Future Food Stars last night - and the show's hashtag could not be more appropriate.

The restaurateur and TV chef is known for his sweary rants at less experienced cooks whose talent and enthusiasm he deems to be lacking, so viewers were delighted to see that the Future Food Stars hashtag was #FFS.

One person tweeted: "Only a @GordonRamsay show could have this hashtag #FFS," prompting Ramsay to reply: "Took many years of using it....but here we are #FFS"

Another viewer commented: "This hashtag really does suit you @GordonRamsay For F*** Sake"

Someone else added: "What a hashtag choice for @GordonRamsay Future Food Stars - genius. #FFS"

The show's star admitted that the hashtag had been running through his mind during the first challenge, which saw contestants take an absurdly long time to make a cheese toastie.

A viewer tweeted: "Waiting 20 minutes for a Toastie? Literally…#FFS," and Ramsay replied: "My thoughts exactly."

Future Food Stars sees would-be food and drink industry entrepreneurs compete for £150,000 investment of Ramsay's own money into their business idea by being put through gruelling challenges each week.

The show fills the slot left at BBC One by The Apprentice ending last week and those watching couldn't help but draw comparisons to Lord Sugar's series.

One person tweeted: "So @GordonRamsay’s new BBC One show #FFS (iconic) is basically The Apprentice but for people who like food. Gordon’s just jumped out of a helicopter into the sea in Newquay. I’d like to see Alan Sugar do that. INVESTED in this mad show."

Someone else added: "I love Gordon Ramsay but my god has this started weirdly… it’s like The Apprentice mixed with I’m A Celeb, and the first minute or so of Die Another Day."

Another viewer agreed: "This is like The Apprentice on acid! Love it already."

The two shows seemed extremely similar to some viewers, as one person tweeted: "I'm not saying Gordon Ramsay clearly watched a lot of The Apprentice but... all that's missing is a poor graphic designer slowly dying inside..."

Someone else agreed: "I thought The Apprentice finished last week. And yet, here it is, with just a few small changes (boardroom=restaurant, Lord Sugar=Gordon Ramsay, "You're Fired"="We're done") but on the same channel at the same time and the same day. #FFS"

Gordon Ramsay's Future Food Stars continues on Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One.
