Government-Built Housing Blocks Severely Damaged After Iran Earthquake

Inhabitants of a housing block in Sarpol-e Zahab, Iran, built by a government program and severely damaged in a November 12 earthquake can be seen camping outside it in a video posted November 15.

The housing projects were part of a scheme launched in 2007 under former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in which the government provided land free of charge to developers to build affordable housing units, Iranian media said.
