The stars who will replace Graham Norton on his Virgin Radio show have been announced. The TV and radio star announced he would be stepping down from hosting The Graham Norton Radio Show in February.

Graham, 61, broke the news live on air as he told viewers: "The show isn't quite the normal show today because I have a bit of an announcement to make. I'm kind of off.

"I'm leaving weekends here at Virgin Radio, I'll still be kind of popping up on the station from time to time. But my regular Saturdays and Sundays, I, I'm stepping away."

Speaking about why he had chosen to leave his show, Graham added: "I've worked weekends between here and the old place for 13 years, and my life has changed a bit. So I just thought, well, I want my weekends back."

Now the station has announced it has some new presenters joining the station. The One Show presenter and Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Scanlon will be hosting a brand show breakfast show.

She will be on air on Saturdays and Sundays from 7am until 10am. Celebrity Juice and Virgin Radio regular Leigh Francis will host on Saturdays from 10am until 1pm.

Tom Allen will host from 10am until 1pm on Sundays, and children's TV legends Dick and Dom will take over from 1pm until 4pm at the weekends.

Angela, 40, said: "I know how many of you have dreamt about waking up to my husky dulcet tones, well dreams come true gang! I’ll be getting up with you every weekend on Virgin Radio & I am inappropriately excited. Stick the kettle on!"

Former CBBC presenters Dick, 47, and Dom, 46, added: "As genuine long term listeners and lovers of Virgin Radio we’re over the moon to be joining the team. We both started our journeys in local radio so it’s great to be back behind the mic. Nice to have upgraded from a bungalow to studios at the top of the tower!"
