Inside Penélope Cruz's 50th Birthday Party, Featuring Fun Photos of Matt Damon, Robert De Niro and More

Penélope Cruz's 50th birthday bash was a star-studded affair!

The actress shared a photo slideshow to Instagram featuring many of the guests who gathered to celebrate her, including husband Javier Bardem and close friend Salma Hayek.

Other fellow celebrities who posed with Cruz included Robert De Niro, Matt Damon, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ricky Martin, Pedro Almodóvar, Rosalía, Julian Schnabel, Rob Marshall and John Deluca, plus her Ferrari costar Adam Driver.

"Thank you for so much love! 💕💕 Cheers to all!" Cruz wrote in her caption, in Spanish.

Several of Cruz's loved ones sent their well-wishes on social media in honor of her milestone — like Hayek, 57, who penned a sweet message alongside a carousel of photos featuring the two actresses together over the years.

"Happy Birthday Penelope 🎂. Thank you God for sending to Earth a special number of years ago an angel," Hayek began in her caption.

She continued, "All of us whose [SIC] crossed paths with her know that she’s made our life crazy, exciting, meaningful, inspiring and taught us the meaning of solidarity and loyalty with so much love,"

The House of Gucci star went on to praise her friend as a mother.

"Thank you, to you Penelope, for the little angels that you’ve mothered into this world. You are an extraordinary woman, and every year even more. ❤️," Hayek wrote, adding a Spanish translation of her message to the end of the post.

Cruz previously reshared photos from a star-studded birthday party to Instagram on Sunday, April 28, where she posed with friends like Italian fashion designer Riccardo Tisci and model Irina Shayk.

Meanwhile, a source told PEOPLE how the Vicky Cristina Barcelona actress was feeling about hitting the milestone.

“She is fulfilled, in a solid marriage, and has a happy life,” the insider said of Cruz. “Penelope is fine with turning 50 and believes the early years of working all of the time paid off but are behind her."

"Now she can pick and choose," the source continued. "And she is quite content with how everything has turned out for her.”
