Grand National 2024 runners and full list of horses so far
The Randox Grand National gets under this weekend with millions of people across the world expected to place money on their favourite horse.
The race is the showcase event of the meeting which takes at Aintree in Merseyside between April 11 and April 13. The highlight race itself will take place at roughly 4pm on Saturday with thousands of racegoers expected to attend.
Overall, 34 runners will be selected to compete in the four miles and two-and-a-half furlongs steeplechase. The number has been cut from the previous 40 participants to help reduce the risk of incidents in the race.

The reigning champion from last year, Corach Rambler, will return to compete this year and could be in for a second consecutive win. Before the Grand National, all runners in the race are provided with running weights.
On the Thursday of the Grand National, the top 34 runners in the weights that are not withdrawn will be confirmed for the Grand National. Before then, however, Grand National has released a list of all 51 runners throwing their hats into the ring.
According to the Grand National organisers, 94 horses were entered into the 2024 race, with the number gradually being reduced following the Cheltenham Festival.
