Hail Covers Streets in Boulder After Summer Storm

Hail was piled deep in Boulder, Colorado, on Monday, June 12, as the National Weather Service (NWS) warned of flash floods.

A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for parts of Colorado and New Mexico until 7 pm, as the NWS warned of scattered wind gusts up to 70 mph, hail two inches in diameter, and potential tornadoes.

Crews were working to clean up the deluge and repair roads after flooding in Boulder and Elbert counties, local news said. The Boulder fire service said two people had to be rescued from flash flooding near Boulder Creek. Credit: Greg Martin via Storyful
