It’s safe to say that as the years have gone on, the general public have stopped viewing Harry Styles as a womanizer and instead started to wonder about his sexuality.
The star has always been incredibly vocal in his support for LGBT+ rights and often uses gender-neutral pronouns when discussing relationships and romance.
He also hit the headlines back in 2015 when he quipped that being a woman was “not that important” when it came to choosing a sexual partner, also telling his One Direction bandmate, Niall Horan, “don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it” when the topic of sleeping with another man came up.
As a result, fans have been wondering whether Harry does in fact identify as gay or bisexual, with his flamboyant debut as a solo artist last month only furthering speculation.
However, it doesn’t look like Harry will be confirming or denying the rumours any time soon, instead opting to maintain his trademark air of mystery in a new interview with The Sun.
When asked by the publication about his sexuality, particularly with reference to Miley Cyrus’ pansexual identity, Harry replied: “Being in a creative field, it’s important to be progressive. People doing stuff like that is great.
“It’s weird for me – everyone should just be who they want to be. It’s tough to justify somebody having to answer to someone else about stuff like that.”
When pushed whether he has specifically labelled his own sexuality, Harry is quoted as saying: “No, I’ve never felt the need to really. No.
“I don’t feel like it’s something I’ve ever felt like I have to explain about myself.”
And, to be honest, why on earth should he?
