Harry Styles 'could play James Bond' according to Bond film editor
Last year, Harry Styles wowed fans and critics alike when he made his Hollywood debut in Christopher Nolan’s war epic, ‘Dunkirk’.
The One Direction star surprised with his acting capability, and has even been nominated in the Best Newcomer category at this year’s National Film Awards UK.
And this is all just the beginning of a glittering acting career for Harry, according to esteemed film editor Lee Smith – who reckons that 23-year-old Harry would be a perfect choice for James Bond.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he explained: “Harry could do it. If they wanted a younger Bond then why not? He has got it.
“Harry is really good and he can go all the way. He is an exceptional talent and a complete natural on camera.”
And considering Lee is a good friend of reported new Bond director, Christopher Nolan, and he edited 2015 007 film Sceptre, we’re going to guess that he knows what he is talking about.
Discussing Harry’s Dunkirk performance, Lee continued: “You would have thought you were dealing with a guy with many years of experience. You would never know that was his first film. I didn’t know who Harry was.
“Of course my daughter explained to me that you don’t get any more famous than Harry Styles. But he was really good and a genuinely charismatic fellow.
“If he wants to act, I cannot imagine he would not have a great future.”
Daniel Craig, 48, has already signed up to play Bond in the next film in the franchise, with the actor to replace him not due to make a debut until 2022, when Harry is 28.
Although that’s a good five years away, it would still make the singer the youngest Bond in history – but we reckon if anybody can play a young James Bond, it’s Harry Edward Styles.
