Heinz axes popular teatime staple and gutted fans are demanding a 'comeback'

Heinz has decided to discontinue its Five Beans product, much to the dismay of its loyal fanbase.

The beloved beans brand has confirmed the discontinuation of a favourite item that many in the UK enjoyed as part of their lunch or dinner. The Five Beans variety, which included a mix of haricot, pinto, cannellini, borlotti, and red kidney beans in Heinz's signature rich tomato sauce, will no longer be available for those looking for an easy meal option.

A disappointed customer took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their concern: They asked: "The Heinz 5 bean snap pots appears to have been discontinued. Will they be making a comeback or are they gone for good?"

In response, the official Heinz account stated that the product "is no longer produced in the snap pot".

Fans have consistently praised the quality of the Five Beans product online since its introduction. Asda's product description highlighted the convenience and health benefits: "Mess-free, portionable and microwavable pots. 1 of your 5 a day.

"Absolutely no artificial colours. Naturally high in protein and fibre. Gluten free and low in fat."

It added: "Good news for those who can't get enough of Beanz... you can dive into the same rich, tomatoey sauce brimming with not one, but five mighty bean varieties. And in case you were wondering, they're still full of goodness", reports BirminghamLive.

"Our Five Beanz don't just taste great, but are nutritious too; high in fibre, high in protein and low in fat, as well as contributing to 1 of your 5 a day. Packed full of quality ingredients... it has to be Heinz. Heinz Beanz Snap Pots. Just the right amount for baked beans on toast, but without the mess and hassle - so fast you'll be waiting for your toaster to catch up!"

A fan said: "These pots are ideal for one person- no waste! Tasty and the reduced sugar ones are really great and healthy too.

Another agreed, saying: ""They are ideal for a single adult portion or a joint portion for my children." A third commented: "These are the most original ones and make a great choice for the jacket potato and easy to heat up and eat."
