Morning Live presenter Helen Skelton has extended a warm welcome to Michelle Ackerley following her return to the popular breakfast show, which airs between 9.30am and 10.45am on weekdays with hosts Gethin Jones, Helen, and Michelle.

Michelle Ackerley, who is also known for hosting The Worlds Strongest Man and Crimewatch Live, was absent from our TV screens for an entire month while she took some time off for her wedding and honeymoon. Last month, Michelle tied the knot with her partner, Ben Ryan, and bid the show farewell on Thursday, May 16. She made her highly-anticipated return Wednesday, 26 June.

Gethin playfully questioned his co-host last week as she made her Morning Live comeback, enquiring: "Where have you been? What have you been doing since we saw you last? ".

"I've been getting married, haven't I? " responded Michelle, grinning broadly, as Morning Live shared snaps of her wedding day with their audience. Upon viewing the exquisite photos that showed Michelle wearing a white dress next to her smiling husband, Gethin commented: "There they are! These photos are absolutely gorgeous,", reports the Express.

Helen too expressed her joy over welcoming back Michelle, by sharing an endearing message on her Instagram for her fellow presenter. Posting a candid reel with Gethin being prepped backstage, Helen added the caption: "Because @gethincjones is learning what a reel is and @nancyspencermakeup @alexandrayoungfashionstylist and I like to play dress up."

She then added: "Glad we got our @michelle_ackerley back with us @bbcmorninglive this week," accompanied by two red heart emojis. Michelle Ackerley's return to Morning Live follows a period of presenter rotations on the show.

In the previous month, Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones were substituted by Gaby Roslin and Rav Wilding, as Helen took time off to film a Channel 5 travel series with Dan Walker.

The pair shared news about their upcoming project after the success of their initial series, Dan and Helen's Pennine Adventure, which was broadcast last year and featured the duo exploring the Pennines.

In other news, Jason Manford recently made his presenting debut on Morning Live and is scheduled to fill in for Gethin once more on Wednesday, July 3, joining Helen on the programme.
