Holly Willoughby's new show 'Freeze the Fear': Which celebrities are taking part?

Holly Willoughby's new ice challenge show Freeze the Fear has announced its celebrity line-up of contestants.

The BBC One six-part series has signed up a celebrity cast of eight who are undaunted by the prospect of plunging themselves into icy water in the name of entertainment, all under the guidance of "The Iceman" Wim Hof.

Filming has now finished on the series, which features actor Tamzin Outhwaite, rapper Professor Green, musical theatre star Alfie Boe, and singer and footballer Chelcee Grimes.

The cast is completed by sports presenter Gabby Logan, Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer Dianne Buswell, weatherman Owain Wyn Evans, and former French international footballer Patrice Evra.

Wim Hof is an extreme athlete known for being able to overcome huge physical challenges using his mental strength, something that he will be teaching to his famous recruits who will be tested to their limits.

Living together in a tented village in the spectacular scenery but sub-zero temperatures of snowy Northern Italy, they will take on a series of challenges that get more daring as the adventure progresses.

Hof has spent years convincing people that they can achieve the impossible and has himself completed a half marathon above the Arctic Circle barefoot, submerged himself in ice water for one hour and 52 minutes, and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in just his shorts and shoes.

A-listers and athletes around the world follow his teachings about the benefits of cold water therapy and Hof superfan Willoughby, usually known for presenting This Morning and Dancing On Ice, will present the show along with comedian Lee Mack.

Willoughby was absent from her usual seat on the This Morning sofa for two weeks recently while she filmed the show and viewers will be able to see what she was working on from the spring, when the series is due to air.

It will also come with a BBC Three spin-off show that will be announced nearer the time.
