Jake Humphrey exposed a steamy scandal about his history with Holly Willoughby on a recent episode of Play to the Whistle. Ooh la la!
The TV presenter and journalist made a guest appearance on the sports comedy panel game show hosted by Holly, who informed the audience that she and Jake had known each other for a very long time.
The 36-year-old star revealed that the pair, who first started working together on the BBC’s Fame Academy in 2002, used to have an arrangement whereby she would stay over at Jake’s flat whenever she needed to work in London.
“I used to stay around your house I think because I hadn’t even moved to London,” she recalled. “So I was living in Brighton and you had a lovely flat and I’d come up and stay with you.”
“Yeah we shared a bed,” Jake cheekily replied.
“No, I slept on your floor,” a red-faced Holly insisted before Jake confirmed that she was supposed to sleep on a pullout mattress, but resorted to sharing his bed to avoid having to set it up.
“Is that true?” she asked while giggling nervously about the unexpected revelation.
Comedian Romesh Ranganathan then chipped in: “You’re so full of s*** Holly. We all know exactly what happened.”
Whatever the truth may be, the This Morning presenter has been happily married to TV producer Dan Baldwin since 2007, and the pair share three children together, seven-year-old Harry, five-year-old Belle and Chester, two.
Perhaps it’s time to let bygones be bygones, eh?
Play to the Whistle continues next Tuesday at 9pm on ITV.
