Holly Willoughby receives shock marriage proposal and kisses on 'This Morning'

Holly Willoughby might be a married woman, but that didn’t stop one guest on This Morning making an unexpected proposal today.

Willoughby and co-host Phillip Schofield welcomed some of the cast of The Secret Life of 4 Year Olds onto the show, but all hell soon broke loose after little Arthur popped the question.

Handing Willoughby a bouquet of flowers and some chocolates, he asked: “Do you want to marry me?”

He then dunked his head in her lap and started kissing her all over, leaving the presenter equally flattered and red-faced.

Schofield then jokingly responded: “Back off, Arthur,” before the confident scamp walked right up to the camera and started exploring the studio.

Viewers found the exchange between Arthur and Willoughby adorable, even if he was completely out of control.

Willoughby and Schofield then attempted to speak to young Na’Shae, asking her to demonstrate how to take the perfect selfie, but Arthur seemed determined not to share any of the limelight as he stuck out his tongue and licked his co-star’s cheek.

Arthur then jumped on Willoughby’s lap again and gave her a hug. Clearly leaving a lasting impression on both hosts, Schofield then imitated Arthur by running up to the camera just as he did.

This was only Willoughby’s second day back on This Morning since taking a break from the show to stand in for Ant McPartlin on I’m a Celebrity.

Talking about her time in the Jungle, she said: ““It is bonkers, it’s just so different, you don’t think about anything else, you just do that show and everybody’s talking about it while you’re there…it was a real adventure.”
