Home and Away star Ditch Davey has paid tribute to the soap's fans after his character Christian Green exited the show earlier this week.
Monday's (September 27) Australian episode saw the newly-married Christian and Tori (Penny McNamee ) leave the Bay, with Tori moving to the UK to take on a new job at a hospital.
In an Instagram post accompanied by pictures from the episode, Ditch wrote: "Thanks to all of you that reached out after last night's episode! It's been a pretty overwhelming response and I wanted to say thank you for welcoming me into the bay for the short time I was there.
"It's been a real blast and I've met some pretty talented humans along the way!! Your support for the show is greatly appreciated and never taken for granted, which is why the cast and crew work tirelessly to invite you into the lives of all of these wonderful characters in 'The Bay'.
"I'm very proud to have played a small part in bringing this story to life, and now have (for better or for worse), my own little place in the giant patchwork that is, Home & Away. Once again, thank you!…and please keep supporting Aussie productions."
Penny posted a similar tribute on Instagram, writing: "After 5 amazing years, the time has come for me to say goodbye to Tori Morgan and Summer Bay. I feel incredibly grateful for my time at Home and Away and I would like to thank many people for making it possible."
Penny announced her exit from the Aussie soap earlier this month. Opening up about her decision to quit the role, she explained: "I'm not someone who looks backwards.
"I'm a real believer in everything has its season, and leaving the show felt like the end of a season to me."
But while Christian and Tori might be gone for Australian viewers, UK fans will still be able to see them for the next few weeks.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia). Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
