Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.
Home and Away's UK viewers have been left with a huge cliffhanger about Tane Parata over the festive period.
With the soap now taking a six-week break on Channel 5, Tane has been left clinging to life following a frightening attack from his mystery stalker.
While many in Summer Bay believe he's the one who has been bullying Felicity Newman, the stalker struck in this cliffhanger by spiking his drink and then spraying a toxic substance all around him.
There was a greater risk to Summer Bay too because the toxic substance leaked into the air conditioning unit that filtered into the mental health fundraiser Martha Stewart organised at Salt restaurant.
The partygoers continued to mingle, not knowing the danger they were in. A few managed to get away unscathed by leaving early before Cash Newman noticed a vapor coming from the vents.
Cash shouted for everyone to back away from the vents, then found a nearly-unconscious Tane while locating the source of his chemical leak.
Cash and the others soon discovered the leak was from organophosphates, a chemical used in many pesticides! HAZMAT rushed to the scene, as Logan Bennett and Jasmine Delaney risked being exposed themselves by tending to Tane.
Though they eventually were able to transfer Tane to the hospital, his condition rapidly deteriorated to the point where his vitals started crashing on the ride.
By the time Tane was rushed to the emergency room, he started to flatline, but Logan refused to let him go. Jasmine urged Logan to stop chest compressions and just as Logan lost hope, Tane started to show a pulse again.
But will Tane actually regain consciousness?
Home and Away will air these scenes on Monday, January 3 at 2.05pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR.
Home and Away will return from its break in 2022 on weekdays at 1.15pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia). Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
