Martin Roberts is tipped to join the line-up for Strictly Come Dancing. The 'Homes Under The Hammer' presenter, aged 60, is understood to be in discussions with the show's producers about showcasing his moves on the dance floor in the forthcoming series.

An insider revealed to The Daily Star: "Martin is just waiting to sign his contract. It'll be a dream come true for him - and a delight for viewers."

Roberts himself dropped hints while at the recent TRIC awards.

Speaking to the publication, he quipped: "I'm like a Ninja Mutant Hero Turtle - I just eat pizzas. Domino's Mighty Meat. I'm the stomach of Domino's, not the face of it.", reports the Mirror.

He added: "I should worry about what I eat because I had a health scare. I need to look after myself better."

"And certainly if I get this TV show later in the year. I'll have to get super fit."

In related news, two CBBC personalities are reportedly vying for a spot on Strictly Come Dancing.

It's believed that Blue Peter's Shini Muthukrishnan, 22, is up against fellow CBBC host Evie Pickerill, 32, for a chance to compete in the BBC's hit dance contest, with Shini currently tipped as the favourite.

A source confided to The Mail On Sunday: "There can really only be one from the world of CBBC so there is now a full-on battle, a war."

"A place on 'Strictly' for those on children's TV is seen as the golden goose. It's a way of getting them out of that genre of TV and turning themselves into household names."

"Many of their agents have approached 'Strictly's casting boss but have been usurped by Shini."
