Homes Under the Hammer presenter Martin Roberts has been flooded with support after penning a cryptic post on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. The property expert told his 53,800 followers he was feeling "tired and emotional" as he made reference to the Weeble, a children's roly-poly toy that had an advertising slogan in the 70s that read: "Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down."

Sharing a snap of the toys Martin asked his followers: "Does anyone else feel vaguely reassured in a world of chaos and uncertainty, that Weebles wobble, but they don’t fall down?"

Martin was flooded with support as one fan wrote: "Thank you Martin I used to say this all the time and I had forgotten this saying. It took me back to my childhood. Things always get better hold on in there. Sending thoughts and love. Be kind to yourself."

Another added: "Bit before my time, but have heard of them, your just having a wobble & you won’t fall down & was always .. & as I’ve said your strong, it’s just a wobble Take care, look after yourself."

Since then Martin has taken to social media with a follow-up tweet that reads: "If you’re trying to read deep and meaningful stuff in to my Weeble tweet, don’t. I’m just a) tired and emotional and b) struggling to grasp the complexities of everything and clinging on to childhood simplicities. All that matters is they don’t. Fall down."

The message sparked a new flurry of responses as one fan wrote: "Sending big hugs & a lot of love your way. Stay strong, be strong & you’ll be stronger than you think! .wanna say my door, ears & heart would always be open for you I think your a good egg you’ll be ok one day at a time.. lots of love your way."

Another added: "We all have days like this. Be kind to yourself. Take care." Martin has been spending a lot of time in Wales lately renovating his pub the Hendrewen Inn and Hotel in the village of Blaencwm at the top of the Rhondda Fawr valley.

Having originally hoped to open the doors by Christmas 2023 Martin is now working towards a new opening date of summer 2024. Martin recently told WalesOnline the pub was the "most challenging project" he'd ever undertaken and also opened up about the emotional challenges of being away from his family.
