Huge new ‘beer café’ overlooking the sea fully opens at Kent tourist hotspot

Just in time for summer, a brand new ‘beer café’ has now fully opened at a trendy Kent tourist attraction, offering pints with a side of gorgeous sea views. The Board Room is the latest addition to Folkestone's bustling Harbour Arm, a landmark that has fast become a staple of the county’s food and drink scene.

Notably, the largest venue to ever open at the Harbour Arm, the stylish new establishment has been developed in collaboration with Kent’s own Iron Pier Beer brewery. Based in Gravesend, the craft beer connoisseurs will be keeping the taps flowing at The Board Room, which has also adopted Iron Pier’s signature relaxed ‘beer café’ style.

From its picturesque perch overlooking the English Channel, the venue also offers a range of exciting games for customers to try out. These include handcrafted shuffleboard tables and interactive dart boards, delivered by the Social Gaming Group.

Alongside the craft beers, punters will also be able to enjoy a variety of locally sourced ciders, wines and cocktails. A selection of sharing boards with charcuterie and cheeses will be on offer for guests to nibble on between sips and games.

The venue is found next to the Sailbox restaurant and can host up to 100 patrons at a time. There is an expansive outdoor seating area with views out across the Harbour and along the Kent coast, ideal for those warm summer nights.

We’ve combined Iron Pier Beer's relaxed ‘beer café’ style, simply breathtaking views across the English Channel and an engaging way to have fun together across a series of beautifully designed shuffleboard tables and interactive dart boards to create a completely new offering here at Folkestone Harbour.”
