Hula Hoops, New Boobs And Heart-Shaped Potatoes: The Strangest Things Sold On eBay Over The Last 20 Years

eBay may be an amazing place to buy a bargain or offload unwanted junk for cash.

But there’s also a much weirder side to the online auction site which celebrates its 20th birthday this week.

A host of extremely odd items have been put up for sale over the last two decades.

They include the world’s longest hula hoop, a heart-shaped potato, unwanted Christmas Brussels sprouts and a tin of baked beans.

Several people have also tried flogging themselves or their time.

And one woman even attempted to get people to pay for her new pair of enhanced breasts.

The most expensive item to appear on the weird list is a former RAF airfield - which was put up for grabs for a cool £2.5 million.

And the most opportunistic?

That dubious honour probably goes to the man who tried to sell a “genuine OLD Cadbury Wispa NOT a Re-release! Retro! Rare!” for £23.

Someone else also wanted to get rid of a 20p coin - which had bids of £460.

Here are some of the other oddest things that have been found on the site:
