Hull City are primed for a hectic summer in the transfer market according to vice-chairman Tan Kesler as the club look to give new boss Tim Walter the tools needed to challenge in the Championship's top six.

City are planning to sign as many as 10 new players before the window closes on August 30 with a mixture of permanent and loan signings in the offing.

High on the agenda for owner Acun Ilicali and his football brain team will be signing attack-minded players with the club keen on bringing in strikers having seen Liam Delap, Aaron Connoly, Noah Ohio and Billy Sharp all leave at the end of the Championship campaign, while Ryan Allsop and Ozan Tufan have also been added to the Tigers' departure board in recent days further highlighting the big rebuilding job that lies ahead.

The Tigers believe they still have the basis of a good squad with Walter thought to be content with what he has at his disposal in many areas, though the future of Jacob Greaves and Jaden Philogene will no doubt have a significant bearing on what the club can do over the next two months, and Tufan's exit has only weakened an already threadbare attacking unit.

Vice-chairman Kesler, who has just returned from a conference with FIFA bosses in Switzerland, stopped short of giving any specific names as the club works hard behind the scenes to secure their top targets but has told fans to expect things to hot up in the coming weeks with the players due back for pre-season training on Monday.

"I don't want to go into the names and transfer," Kesler explained. "We know it's going to be a busy one. We're going to try to build the team back again and we're going to create a resilient squad with the current squad that we have. We have amazing boys who are already in the club at the moment and with high value."
