Hundreds Arrested Following Anti-Lockdown Protest at Melbourne War Memorial

More than 200 people were arrested after a protest over Covid-19 vaccine mandates at Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance on Wednesday, September 22, SBS reported, citing police.

Footage posted by Herald Sun journalist Sarah Booth shows the protesters standing on the steps of the war memorial. The crowd can be heard chanting “you serve us” to the police.

The police then advance on protesters; small bangs and smoke can be seen rising from the steps of the shrine as the crowd flees in the opposite direction.
