Ice-T Reflects on Importance of 'How Long You're Doing Well' on 66th Birthday: 'Every Day Is Appreciated'

A celebration is in order for Ice-T!

The actor commemorated his 66th birthday on Friday with a reflective Instagram post on what he’s learned over the years. Alongside a photo of himself, he wrote: “Thanks for ALL the Birthday love.”

Ice-T’s life lesson followed, with a bit about longevity. “‘It’s not how well you’re doing… It’s how LONG you’re doing well…!’ Every day is appreciated. 🙏,” he shared.

The quote is a famous line from Frank Sinatra that the Law & Order star has shared on his socials before. In November 2022, Ice-T showed how meaningful the quote is to him when he posted another photo with the quote as the caption.

Coco Austin, Ice-T’s wife, also posted a birthday tribute to her husband. She shared a photo montage and called her hubby “big daddy,” alongside a sweet caption. “Happy Birthday to the love of my life 💝 Your the perfect man for me.. Hope you get everything in life you want cuz you deserve it! Chanel loves you and thinks your the best 'Big Daddy' ever lol. LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!” she wrote.

The week has been all about love for Ice-T, who also celebrated Valentine’s Day with Coco. “You dont marry someone to just live with ..you marry the person you can't live without.’ Happy Love Day to my Honey 💝,” she captioned a photo of the pair on Instagram.

Recently, Ice-T opened up about the secret to their long and happy marriage. The twosome met in 2001 and wed in 2006. They share an 8-year-old daughter, Chanel Nicole Marrow. “We have to be teammates, not opponents, not assets, not liabilities. I value what she brings to me, and I think it's vice versa. We appreciate each other," he told E! News.

"Getting married is like casting for a movie," he continued. "You got to pick somebody who's ready for all the scenes. Now, there's gonna be fun scenes. There's gonna be sad scenes. There's gonna be tough scenes. There's gonna be fight scenes. A lot of people don't sign up for the whole movie. They just sign up for the good part."
