I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! has released its first trailer for the 2022 series, teasing its long-awaited return to the jungle.

The ITV contest which challenges celebrities to battle critters, snakes and disgusting eating challenges to win meals for their campmates has been confined to the UK for the last two series because of pandemic travel restrictions.

Last time the show was set in Australia it was 2019 and pre-COVID, but after two chilly winters in north Wales' Gwrych Castle, it is finally returning to sunny Australia.

The teaser shows a helicopter flying over the familiar landscape dense with trees and a suitcase being dropped through the sky as hosts Ant and Dec can be heard shouting: "Where's the luggage going?" "It's meeting us there!"

Rumours about who will be taking part this year have been circulating, with comedian Seann Walsh, former Love Islander Olivia Attwood, ex-Strictly pro Oti Mabuse and singer Boy George all in the mix as potential campmates.

While the show's fans are looking forward to seeing its return Down Under, it isn't the only I'm A Celebrity refresh on the horizon.

For the first time ever, an All Stars series will begin in 2023 that will welcome back favourite former campmates for a champion of champions series.

It will air from a new home in South Africa but will still be hosted by Ant and Dec, who recently confirmed the spin-off series in a video filmed on a trip to the South African camp.

Ex-campmates rumoured to be making a return for the All Stars series include Joe Swash, Myleene Klass, Phil Tufnell, Carol Vorderman and Andy Whyment.

However, Scarlett Moffatt has confirmed she won't be back to go for a double win, saying: "I just think I wouldn’t want to then tarnish that experience by going in again and maybe it not living up to expectations."

I'm A Celebrity is expected to begin this year's series in November.
