Incident at Island pub led to accusation of spitting at landlord

A MAN accused of spitting at and striking a pub landlord, will stand trial in an Isle of Wight court.

Dominic Crumby, of Daniel Street, Ryde, denied assaulted a man by beating, in Ryde, on June 11, when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court, on Friday (June 28).

It is alleged the incident occurred at the Railway Inn, on St John's Hill.

The 26-year-old was bailed to reappear for trial on September 12.
